I went to Amazon.com to get a copy of Paul Matthews book "The Paper Jacket." While I was there I found that Wolfe Publishing put a DVD together of four Cast Boolit references. A '90 and '91 Annual of boolit making, a '92 cast boolit special edition and The Art of Cast Boolit Making which is a compilation of articles from '66 - '81.

For a relative newby like me, they were worth every penny. Tons of information at my finger tips.

Are you speaking of this (http://www.amazon.com/Art-Bullet-Casting-DVD-ROM/dp/0935632085/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1310088709&sr=8-1)?

For "used" at $171.75 I'm not going to rush to buy the last one. Of course, that might just be Amazon's insane pricing engine, running amok again on a near out-of-stock product.

$40.00 direct from Wolfe. Always best to do some research boys.

I looked on Amazon and found it new for $19.00. Easy to find if you search in books for Wolfe publishing.

CA,

EXACTLY! That's what I paid and another $15.00 for The Paper Jacket. It does pay to do your research.

Is it worth the $19?

If you already know everything, no. Otherwise, absolutely. I've had it for a couple of years and peridocally go back and re-read something.

I am a relative newby. I think it is well worth the price. Also, while there is a ton of the information right here on this site, it is organized in the 4 .pdf files and easy to access. In everything I have ever done, I have kept refernces around me. This for me is one of them just like my ancient reloading manuals and some of my text books from school when I became a machinist.

My 2 cents.

I have not met that guy yet. Many who think they are him, but they are not.

In my opinion- absolutely. IN fact IIRC I have about $75.00 tied up in my hardcover original copy of "The Art of Bullet Casting". See, it used to be you had to haunt Ebay to get a copy, same with the annuals. Well worth every penny I spent.

Pay particular attention to any articles by Al Miller or John Zameneck (rip).

Just finished Matthew's book, The Paper Jacket. Cast and swaged boolits with SP and BP propellant are covererd as well as muzzle loaders. It is very complete coverage of the subject IMHO. I couldn't put it down. A real good read.

Can you print sections of the dvd for hard copy reference?

If it is a PDF, I don't see why you couldn't.

You can become a Boolit casting expert by spending time here at Cast Boolit Forum and
http://www.lasc.us/CastBulletNotes.htm.

It takes a while and requires patience, but it is a lot less than $171
