I know there are some other gun builders out there. I curently have an English fowler underway, and am going to be doing some silver wire inlay. I've looked at some of Mark Silver and Monte Mandarino's wire work, and have examined some old original fowlers.
I'm looking for other design ideas, on stocks with and without relief carving.
I've done wire inlay in the past, easy enough to do, I'm just looking for something real eye catching.

The Kentucky Rifle by Merrill Lindsay, and Thoughts on the Kentucky Rifle in it's Golden Age by Joe Kidding are two books that have photographs of surviving American Long Rifles, some with incredibly ornate wire inlays. I have both volumes of "Rifles of Colonial America", and there are some ornate rifles in there as well, but I would need to look real hard as super ornate wire inlays was not fashionable here till the "golden age", after the war. German Jaeger rifles on the other hand frequently were ornately decorated with wire inlays.

I completely suck at this and it is embarrassing :( . I wish I could watch it being done once
