When did this one come out ? ... late 80's , early 90's ? maybe .
No mention of the 40 s+w cal. in it and it has a good section on casting ,also another on homemade tooling for odds and ends , good reading.
Picked it up in a bookstore for five bucks , it was to good to pass up at that price.....

I have the ABC's of Reloading 5th edition by Dean A. Grennell as well. I have also been wondering what year it came out.

Amazon.com listed the Publisher as: DBI Books, Inc. 5th edition (January 1993)

It is one of those rare books that had no copyright date, or publishing date listed anywhere inside.

All the ABC's of Reloading were excellent books, and enjoyable to read.

The 5th edition has a Speer addendum in the back (Chapter 22 The Last Blast) for 41 Action Express, and 50 Action express. They also helped date the book somewhat.

I especially enjoyed the "useful home equipment" section regarding home made tools crafted using a lathe, specifically the K-Spinners.

DBI loves to use 'Roman numerals' for ther copywrite date, printed in small letters hidden in other text with in the first few pages. Allways hard to find and then the pencil scraching to decode the date is annoying.
