This morning's cast----300 count of Lee 200gr. RN.
These bullets run absolutely awesome in my 45 Elite Match and are very accurate.

Good looking boolits.

What alloy were you using and what was the final boolit weight? Two cavity or six cavity?

I'm thinking of ordering a pair of the Lee two cavity moulds for this boolit later today.

caster, I am using a two cavity--when I got the mold I cleaned it with Comet cleanser, then rinsed real good and used a tooth brush and soap for the final cleaning, I have done this with all my lee two cavity molds and they cast great.
I am using half WW and pure lead with a 12" piece of 40/60 solder and water drop, the final bullet weight was pretty close to 200 gr.
I lube with 45/45/10, then size and two more light coats of lube--no leading--I size to .452.

It's a good bullet, you just have to watch the OAL. Loaded to feed in my 1911s, it was about 0.010" too long for my XD.

I really like the flat nose in a 45, but I just can't get my mind around the crimp ring on an auto bullet. Does it show a lot when it is seated in the case ??
That is a round nose flat point correct ??
On a lighter note--very nice work with the bullets you cast.
