I have a 35 Whelen that I have built up on an Adams & Bennett F34 Stainless Steel barrel with a 1 in 14" twist.
What size is generally recommended should my cast bullets be sized to? Currently I have a 358 sizer die for my Lyman sizer.
I have the RCBS 200 gr FPGC mold and the Saeco 250 gr FPGC mold.

It greatly depends on your barrel's groove diameter along with the velocities and pressures you plan on working. I find in my bolt guns there is better accuracy with upper end loads when I am .005-.001 over groove using a GC boolit design. Shooting a PB and at lower end loads then I've often found better accuracy .002 over. Slugging your barrel will tell you more than hearing what everyone else sizes for their rifle.

Slug it and go from there.

most likely 359-360. I have a nice Lee push through sizer that was honed out to .3595 by a member here, and it seems to work nicely. I finally shot my 35 Whelen (700 Rem) today. I'm super excited, because the 3589 boolit seemed to shoot, at least on my inititial short range test.

Good morning
Slug the throat area diameter as that is the one you want to be filling and properly aligning the boolit in. Groove diameter is generally less than throat diameter.
My 1907 44-40 SRC down here has a nice .428+ groove but the throat is .432+. A .430 boolit makes a nice groove fit but shoots pie plate patterns. A .433 fills the throat and easily makes the transition to .428+ with respectable accuracy. It may not drive tacks at 25 yards but a golf ball is going to do alot of flying about.

Measure the inside dia. of several fired cases.. (high vel. jacketed loads not plinking loads)
Size your bullet .001" less than that dia.
If that dia. is to big to fit your throat then size to your throat dia. as missionary5155 suggests..

Well, I just slugged my barrel. I miked the slug and it appears to be about a .359 - .3595.
Guess I will go with a .360.
