Many thanks to all who responded to my thread about our son coming home. He has been going to the middle east since the U.S.S COLE was bombed, in fact he was in Yemen at the time but on another ship. I couldn.t tell you how many times he has been to Iraq or Afghanistan. I am not sure he could. He and his wife and baby are on vacation in Florida now and guess who gets to watch two Labrador Retrievers? Even so, it's good to have him home. Thanks again. Let's keep praying for all service personel wherever they are. I think all too often they are used and abused.

I've got a best bud in A'stan presently serving with the 3/1. When he came home on leave...well let's just say his time in Iraq back in '08 he thought he could not dislike arabs/mooslims more....he was mistaken. He will be back in january to the land of the big PX , and am glad your son is home safe.
