Back when I was a kid before we had tv in our area radio was the entertainment. Nothing unique about that,was the norm for all. I had never seen tv at the time,although they did have it in larger cities like Ft Worth/Dallas. I remember one summer night listening to the broadcast of the execution (electric chair)of Julius and Ethyl Rosenburg. They were accused of spying and were the first to be executed in peace time for such. It all made for a fine radio program. Wondering if Hussiens execution will be a big tv production?

I don't know Carpetman,but I was born in 1963,and we had TV(2 channels) and iI still ended up with 13 brothers and sisters (14 of us alltogether,not counting step brothers and sisters)!

Ha! I had you beat Madcaster. We got 3 channels. Of course 1 was in French and the others required my Dad climbing up on the roof about once a week to re-aim the double stack antennas! Only 3 siblings, but they worked nights so....
