While returning from Clarksville,Tx on sunday my wife noticed that most service stations had American flags flying. What we did not see was a single Velero station had a flag out. Well my wife looked up the owner of Velero and low and behold it is Hugo Chavez.

Just as info.
They got my last dollar.

According to this Wikipedia link, Valero is an American-owned Fortune 500 company. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Valero_Energy_Corporation

Some Internet blog-babe muddied the waters when she made an erroneous connection between the Venezuelan-owned Citgo stations and Valero's purchase and re-branding of them.

That aside, it does show a lack of respect to not fly the American flag on such a somber occasion.

I think they changed the name from Cities Service when most people started boycotting them.
