Ok, brothers of the silver stream. I need a little help identifying this “mould” for a friend. An elderly fella I know (Russell) has had this thing for 65 years, but knows nothing about it. He received when he was a child from a playmate (thought maybe he traded for it with a hand full of marbles or some such).

This is a one piece instrument (only a few inches long). It does not open like a scissors. The sprue plate is long gone, but there is what looks like the remnants of the sprue plate screw at the top of the mould. The bullet that was just recently cast by Russell is slightly out of round and measures .408” x .410” and has no lube groove. He did not give me a length or weight of the projectile.

I hoping this isn’t just a really old suppository mould. Any ideas?

Likely an old muzzle loading revolver boolit. Looks like the sprue plate is gone and the
screw/rivet that held it is hammered flat.
