I was looking on a couple of gun selling sites for some new unfired brass in .357 that I can reload. I see Starline, Winchester and a couple others. I'm sure they are all good, but one brand may be a little better than another. What is your preference as to brass maker for .357 or does it really matter?
Good opportunity to ask before I buy .....

I prefer starline over the rest they have more uniform and consistent brass. and if you order straight from starline it tends to be a lot less costly and they have free shipping

Starline has good brass and cheaper too.....................cheap and good, it doesn't come around very often. I load my Starline brass lighter for a load or two before I go full tilt since the brass seems softer to me vs others.

Another pile-on for Starline brass. VERY good quality, exceeds the standards set by W-W and R-P. I do use all three, however.

If buying new i would go with Starline ! Used i would use any brand ! that i can get at least 100+ pieces of . I currently use Starline, Winchester , R&P , Midway, Norma, Federal , and some PMC , CBC , and Hi Per . I load my son inlaws 357 ammo with S&B & WW brass
I use a different brand of brass for a different load / bullet combo that way by looking at the head stamp you know what load you have !

Big fan of Starline. Top quality, close to me so shipping is quick. You may be interested to
know that apparently one of the owner's of Sierra Bullets' son founded Starline, and I can
personally verify that Starline is just next door to Sierra in Sedalia, MO. about an hour drive
east of KC. My impression is that the son learned how to be a stickler for quality and value
to the customer from his father.

A big +1 to that... luckily I get lots of free range brass but if I had to buy new it would be Starline 100%!

Starline has always been of the highest quality for me. I reload it in 45lc and 357 at least 20 times.

I have many mixed head stamped brass, but the Starline seems to be the best quality. None of the new Starline have had any defects. That can't be said for some other brands that I bought new.

Been loading a 250 case lot of starline off and on for 17 years now. Lost count to the number of reloads they have on them. Mostly cast boolit loads with a few full power jacketed reloads tossed in there. Fired at least 50 rnds a week when I was in High school...

Starting to get a few case neck splits after all these years. Pretty good bang for my buck. I will buy Starline again when this lot gives it up.
