Try 7 gr Unique. I amy get some TB some day but see no use for it now with what I have in inventory.

Ive tried tb, but not in 223, but in all others cals I cast I prefer unique by a long shot for accuracy. I bought that tb and havnt found a great use for it yet. oh well good to keep around at least.

good luck.

Have had good luck w/TB in just about all of the 30's, 375 H&H, 444, and 45-70. Agree that unique works well, but am looking for an accurate TB load for 223 &222

I do have a load for cast boolits 1Shirt,

For min start at 5.0gn

Max, well I don't believe you can get enough TB in the .223 case to cause problems.

However, I am getting good results with 6.8gn in a 1:7 barrel, 55gn Lyman, lube Rooster Zambini.

Good luck mate, this gives me 1.5MOA at 50 metres consistently. Very quiet load to boot.

Are you shooting it in a bolt action or a semi-auto? The reason I ask is because I fooled around with TB in 9mm. My Glock just laughed at me, I don't think that the action even tried to cycle.

I bet it sounds like a .22 short. Trail Boss is a must have powder, it can turn any gun into a fun plinker.

Agree it is a fun plinker in most ctgs. However, I have found in 375 H&H, that I get decent 50 yd accuracy, but seems to go to pot much beyond.

TB gives me fine accuracy in my 338 Winmag but only with a 95% full load giving an MV of 1650. Tomorrow I will try it in my 6mm Rem for the first time.

Quibily, Interested in your TB results in 6mm, as I have not yet tried it in 243.
