After seeing a Ben's SAECO #315 plain base I knew I wanted one. Well one came up in the Swapping and Selling section where somebody tried removing the gas check feature from one of the cavities and I bought it.

Well today I finally got around to machining it to remove the gas check feature from both cavities and polishing them so the bullets will jump out when opening the mould.http://castboolits.gunloads.com/imagehosting/thum_31404ddedc0a59600.jpg (http://castboolits.gunloads.com/vbimghost.php?do=displayimg&imgid=977)

I hope to make good use of this in my Browning 1885 Traditional Hunter in 30-30 Win.

That my friend is a flawless job. That's spectacular ! !
Those cavities look mirror smooth.

I'm impressed ! Now fire up the pot and give us
some specs on that rear band.

If I had that mold, I'd be sitting in front of my pot right now, casting away at a merry pace ....................
