I was wondering how well all the little bands around the Tumble Lube Molds fill out with ww metal? They look like maybe they would need some tin to fill out completely. What do you folks do?
Thanks,
Jeff

I use just straight WWs and cast hot. Does just fine.

Me too. IMHO, the Lee TL bullets were a great advance in cast bullet technology.

Haven't had any problems with wheelweights and casting hot.

They seem to be as good or better than the others I have.
When buying new molds I try to get this type since I only lube with
Lee's Alox. They're designed to hold more lube.

They cut hole's like a punch too, same as SWC's and others with the sharp top rim.

I have found that whatever lead I can find, casts just fine.

I am not picky with lead, just use what I can find and mix it all up.

When I cast, like others it seems, I am on the hot side, sometimes too hot, but the molds fill out fine.

I never cast a tumble lube bullet but Ive shot them.I get those nice Ranch Dog bullets from a friend, then I size them and install the checks, then I lube them in a Cool Whip bowl, then I load them, then I shoot them.

Tumble lube bullets are the cats ass in my book and the tumble lube bullets that were designed by Ranch Dog are 2nd to none.

Cast them hot you say!!!I will remember that as I have ordered a mold from Lee Precision:drinks: :drinks: :drinks:
