I am giving my dad 100 Lyman 311413 bullets sized, lubed, and gas check for Christmas along with a one piece Dewey cleaning rod.

He has a Remington 1917 30-06 that they will likely be fired out of.

Anyone else givin bullets for Christmas?

I have in the past given large quantities of 45-70 boolits to friends for christmas and brass too on occasion. I've received these items also. Good useful gifts IMHO.

I have a brother-in-law, son-in-law & son who expect 1000 cast, GC, & lubed bullets in the proper calibers each Christmas. This has been going on for about ten years & has almost become a tradition. Fortunately the bullets given are all cast from six cavity molds. Once my (fairly new at the time) son-in-law stopped by the house while I was casting some .45/70 HB bullets using a ten pound pot & ladle & a single cavity mold. After watching me work for about half an hour (and seeing the small pile of bullets produced), & thinking that this was the method I cast all the bullets for them each Christmas, & realizing how much time it would take (one at a time), he said, "Geez Guns, with as much effort as it takes to make just one I'm gonna' feel bad everytime I send one of these down range." Of course I let him think that his father-in-law was really expending a lot of effort. The joke lasted about a week. Then he mentioned it to my son & learned what fathers-in-law & Marines are pretty much full of....

Bought my buddy 100 Sierra HPBT 168 gr match bullets. He was excited. He never wanted to spend the money on match grade bullets.
