Headed home

Believe it or not, only 48 hours after pulling a tumor the size of a fist out of my son's head, he's being discharged from the hospital. He's doing very well. All his IV's are out. His appetite is still a bit off, he's a bit stiff and is in some pain, but he's doing very well.

We're going to hop into the old family wagon tomorrow and head back to Rochester. He can have his follow up appointments back home.

Your son has been very fortunate to walk away so well. I was not. In 98 I had much simpler Gamma Knife brain surgery for a small tumor that went very badly and I lost my memory for over 2 years and had severe eye hand coordination difficulty and a long recovery. Count your blessings.

Glad for you'ns. Good to hear the report. Brought back memories. Daughter had a malignancy in her teens, was not metastatic. Been over 12 years now with no problems. A lesson to me on making every day count. God bless.
