I used to buy a bunch of cast bullets and they came in these nifty little cardboard boxes ( 6 * 6 *6 inch IIRC) Anybody know where I could get some of those?

That is a pretty standard size. You might try Office Max or Staples

They have a couple of smaller sizes at Midway:

About $0.40 to $0.45 each including shipping

I tried finding some paper boxes recently without much success. The company that used to have them-- Sandia Die and Cartridge -- did not give me much help. Will try the above places--any help would be greatly appreciated. Am about out of the small folding boxes(some with trays) to put handgun ammo in.

Try theses guys, quite a bit sturdier & cheaper than Midway. http://www.packagingprice.com/forms/product_listing.cfm?CategoryID=10007&desc=Corrugated+Mailers2

I have a bunch of the 100 rd 40 S&W Winchester white boxes sitting around with the foam trays. I could put 8 or nine of them in a med FRB I think and send them for $18 any where in the US. Lemme know

I store sized & lubed bullets in factory ammo boxes rescued from the trash at the range. I'm still amazed that people buy ammunition.

Here's what I use: the bottom 2" of empty cardboard oatmeal cans. Cut the cylinder off straight as best you can. (I do it in either a table saw or chop saw) Re-use the original plastic lid on the "shorty" can, and Voila!, perfect size to hold cast bullets, two layers deep if seperated by a piece of cardboard. Since I make them myself I can customize the height for specific bullets.

Being a heart patient I find myself eating a LOT of oatmeal and saved a couple dozen of the canisters because they just looked useful. I was on the verge of throwing them out when it struck me.

Talk to your local pharmacy. They ship in products that are packaged in various sized small boxes and as far as I know they just throw them away.

If you're looking for something to ship in, these seem to be well made.

There was, and probably still is, a sticky here on how to make your own little (boolit) boxes. Included a pattern and a couple of different sizes and all. Called something like "my own paper box patterns" or similar. enjoy Mike

I use stuff from these folks. Actually a few cents over a buck apiece isn't bad for the boxes. All new, clean, and good American made stiff cardboard. Of course 100 of'em is probably a LOT more then you'd need? Another good thing about U-Line is the owners of the company are solid conservative American patriots, who are very well aware of the direction this country is headed, and not just because of the current administration.

I just did a quick look on ebay.
Smaller quantities with a nice selection.

Ammunition trays and boxes retrieved from the range. There is no better solution, unless you're storing many thousands of boolits, then there are more space-efficient solutions.

The key search words seem to be "6x6x6 corrugated mailers".
On ebay, the best one I found is:
