The .690 round ball is easy to cast but hard to load, the sabot is easy to load but hard to cast. If either load was to be shot out of a 870 express barrel with a skeet choke which would be the most accurate?

Not enough Info.
What makes them hard to load ?
What sabot slug are you using ?
Rifled barrel or smooth ?
Details, details,
Most accurate ? not a clue at this point.

The barrell is a 30"smooth ribbed, the round ball recipe i'm using is Fed gold medal plastic hull, Win 209 primer, 35 grains of blue dot, 1/8" nitro card, BPI'S LB12 wad, the ball is patched with a 30 cal cleaning patch (cotton & 2" sq.) fold crimped. The sabot is loaded in the same hull and primer but with 39 grains of blue dot and in a Win AA red wad, also fold crimped.

Why is the sabot hard to cast? If it's fil out, just crank up the temp and add a small amount of tin for fill out.

Try losing the patch and lubing the ball with LLA instead. See if the accuracy is there to determine if you like the load.

The only reason I'm using the patch is that the ball still rattles in the hull. I was hoping that the patch would act like a sabot and keep the ball centered as it travels down the barrel. Thank you for your response.
