i am not so sure it was that many.
good caliber, i have one marlin and one winchester, and the shorter revolver round.
prefer the revolver and the winchester with cast.
and the marlin does fine with jaxketed.

Funny thing about the 375 marlins. In all my years I've only seen a grand total of one. Unfortunately whoever owned it before it showed up at a gun show failed to take care of it. All beat up and more rust in the bbl than the titanic. Now I do have a 375 winnie that cost me $500
some years ago that was in really nice shape. But I can say these also are rare as hen's teeth as I have never seen more than three in a long time. Frank

Given that there are four of these presently listed on GunBroker, 16,500 sounds really low for total production...I'd salt that heavily.!! One of those has a buy it now @ $450,and it's doesn't look all that bad,,,two others have start bids @ $550 & $599,AND NO reserve..If you are serious, best get one or more of these..In equiv.condition the marlins don't seem to go for as much as the Win BB on the major auction sites. During my heavy Marlin collecting days I had two of the Marlin 375's and both were made in 1980 !

I got the first and nicer one first , maybe about 2003 or 2004 and gave about $550 for it , this one was on maybe 95% . I shot only jacketed bullets in and killed a couple whitetail doe at 100-125 yards .

A couple years after that a friend that runs a pawnshop got the other one in and sold it to me for $350 . This one was 90-92% with a few wood scratches . I used this one about 2007 or 2008 to kill a small 7 point buck using the Ranch Dog 379-210GC bullet . Shot this one at about 45 yards .

I've since sold both these rifles and made a profit on them both !

I got lucky back when they first came out, a guy I worked with friend needed money and sold me it for $100.00 with only one box of ammo shot through it and I even got the box of empties.
