I went and shot my GP-100 today and tried a different combination. I used a LEE .358 RNFP boolit and used a 7-1 alloy of WW and Monotype. The BHN was 17.5. They were sized to .3585 and I put 16.2 grains of H-110 under them with Tula Mag primers. Very clean powder, accuracy was not considered since the wind was over 20 MPH from the side and kept moving me around. I was really impressed with the boolits impact on wood. Very destructive. Out of a 6 inch barrel it had to be around 1300 fps or more. Oh ya. The boolits weighted 162 grains on average and Carnuba Red was used for lube. I do believe that I am going to like H-110.

Charlie,
My 6 1/2" Blackhawk loves that boolit and W-296 (same-same H-110). I've used 50/50 air-cooled wheelweights/lead and an air-cooled 2:1 alloy of the same components. No leading with either alloy, even with a maximum published load.

I'm still looking for an accurate, non-leading plinking load, though.

I was just trying that 7-1 alloy......... just because. It sure makes shiney boolits. It is fun to find out that once you get the fit right, you can experiment with all sorts of stuff.

You might try 6.1 AA#5 in 38 SPL cases.
