After a long winter, several "training" sessions with an older fellow from the range, teaching me his "ropes" on bullet casting, Scrounging and smelting almost 500 pounds of wheel weights, acquiring the goodies need for the task,- - -
- - -I actually got to shoot some of my self cast projectiles.
Subjects where from my first casting session on my own, 44 mag, 240 grainers, from an LBT WFN mold. Straight wheel weights. Tumble lubed with Recluses JPW recipe.

Loaded 3 batches, first was as cast and lubed once only. 2nd batch, TL'd, sized to .429 and lubed again, & #3 was Tl'd, sized to .430 & TL'd again.
Of the 3, .429 size gave the largest group, and .430 gave the best, with as cast coming in a close 2nd, almost close enough to make me think about not sizing
Loads where where with a powder I hadn't shot in a 44 before, WW231, 6 grains.
Gonna do some load development with it, and retry "as cast" again.
Very pleased with NO leading :bigsmyl2:

Great feeling of satisfaction in rolling your own, and a big thanks goes out to all who contribute here and helping us noobies out.
