I'd be interested, but I think it will be tough to drum up enough interest to make a group buy out of it.

If you can provide more information and possibly a picture, you might get more traffic and interest. I tried looking up "RCBS .43 Mauser" on the RCBS website and didn't find anything. I do know that .43 is 11mm so if anyone is looking for a mold for a 11mm Mauser they might be interested.

I would be interested in a boolit like the RCBS (Sharps) 44-370 - but in a heavier weight.
I am looking for something in the 450 to 480gn weight to use as a BPCR Silhouette load
(and it needs to be .452 diameter as I have a deep groove rifle that doesn't like .446 dia).
And it would help if it were more "pointy" for 500m shooting - not a hunting boolit for me.
Having said all that, I probably need to start a new thread...

How about a mold for paperpatch boolits for the 11 mm Mauser like the originals?
I'd be interested in that.

I really like the idea of a dual cavity mold, one paper patched cavity and one lube groove cavity. That would be great although it would surely bump the price a few bucks. I can wish can't I? Christmas is coming.

Something in a 350 grain or so for 43 SPANISH would be enticing to me. Just isn't much out there. <439 that Lyman makes is too small and the .446 is too big...yeh I know a guy could size it down. BUT since this thread is for a much fatter boolit, I'm out of line.

The more I think about it an NOE version of the RCBS 44-370-FN would be just the ticket. Cut to cast a couple of thousandths above .446" out of 50% wheelweight / 50% pure lead would suit me perfectly. Dutch..
my sentiments exaclty, if this g/b isn't a go ,which it will be i hope .
i have already contacted tom at accurate for the design you mentioned cut to .447+/- as i ust got my rifle and slugged the beasty and it's right on .446 ,,amazing!!! for its age (man-1888).
this group buy discussion should be on the active thread,,,,, i can dream can;t i???

I'm doing real well with the Lee 300gr sized .450" in my 43 Mauser. I have the Lyman mold and it does ok but the Lee cuts group sizes in half.
Are you thinking a gas check, plain base, or paper patch mold?

Just a thought Al, would it be possible to do it in an RG mould with HB & PB pins like we are doing with the NOE 515141 450Gr FN 50-70 boolit?

Moving this to the top! This mould in a four cavity, two GG and two paper patch, Or simply two, two cavity moulds, once again, PP and GG will be ideal. Wake up those safe queens! Make those wall hangers talk again!

this is a quote from this guys description of this particular boolit:
"This is a good design for small to medium game and personal defence."
HUH!
small to medium game? I'd like to know what he would use for big game?
Well, already got the squirrels covered. As for personal defense? Guess I oughta put that handgun back in the safe and keep an 11mm rifle in the nightstand (or in my holster)

Oh, it's a bad sign when you find yourself tempted to build a rifle just so you have a reason to buy a new caliber mold. "Sounds like it could be a nifty caliber for big game..." "I don't have a bolt rifle in that large a caliber..." "surely I could do it cheap on an old Mauser action, it wouldn't cost that much"
No, no, no. (or at least, not yet).
Bump for those of weaker resolve.
