Does anyone have a starting load and cast boolit weight for a 6mm PPC cartridge?

I have Lyman CB manual #4 and they list data for one cast bullet in the 6mm PPC. The 85 grain Saeco #243 that weighs 85 with their alloy.

PM me if you want data for this load (list your powders) and i'll send you what they list.

They list IMR4198, N130, AA2015, H322, and H335.

I used to use 27.5 grs of H322 with a 70 gr bullet.

That's right about what I use for jacketed loads.

How fast do you push your cast bullets?

I do not think you can shoot any thing heavier then 85 grs because of the twist. I am picking up a Remington 40X in 6mm Br tomorrow for the same thing.

Ole;
I don't have my PPC anymore.
I have Fred Sinclair build it for me
just to shut up a guy in our club who
thought everything he had was the best.

Bench guns (for the purpose) like clean powder. Shoot for 2400 fps at 14 twist with nothing longer than a 75 grainer CONDOM to start with, using VV-N120 and pistol primers. N120 is between 4227 and 4198 depending on case and bore and has granules sized between 4227 and 4198 small cut for EXCELLENT ignition. Start at 16 grains or so.

I picked up my Remington LH-40X single shot in 6mm BR yesterday it has a 27.25" stainless steel barrel with 1-14" twist and a .266" neck. The receiver is carbon steel blued with an 2oz bench-rest trigger with a Kevlar stock. It looks like this except the receiver is blued and it is left handed.

Doc, report back when you have something to tell, good or bad. Please do the same, Ray... felix
