I bought some cast bullets a while back from a sports store.. i recently just sold the gun they were for.. Should i melt them down and use them? they have the lube and all in the groves.. any certain way i should do it? Its a newbie question.

If you are sure you aren't going to use them any time soon, go ahead and melt 'em, I use boolits like this to flux with. throw a handful in the pot and let the lube burn while you stir.
Just be ready for the smoke and have a match handy.

You can possibly sell them here or melt them down if you prefer. Knowing what BHN they are may help with your decision. Possible to trade them for something too. I've alloyed some dead soft lead round balls for black powder with WW alloy as it was given to me and I knew I wouldn't be shooting them unless they were in a different form.

Well, this is just one of the many side benefits of casting your own. Have a bunch of one and need another? A few minutes later, problem solved. Without casting, you'd be forced to sell them and buy the ones you need. More cost, more time.

They are worth more as bullets. Sell them to another shooter and buy twice as much alloy.

Yup, you can probably sell them for enough to buy twice the weight in alloy, or even trade them straight across the board for alloy. Commercial cast, already sized and lubed would be worth it to the right person.
