My company has just brought a new product to market that we feel will be a big help to those who pan lube.

The WaxMeister is a simple hand held tool that lets you quickly and
easily pan lube a large number of hard cast lead bullets without the
usual mess. It is engineered to work with almost any style bullet and
most common calibers.

It works on the same principal as a cookie cutter or when you cut the case head off and use that as the cutter to get the bullets out of the wax by hand. When you do that you have to push the bullets out of the cutter by hand or let them come up through the top into your hand. With the WaxMeister you push it down over one bullet and cut it out of the wax. Then you set the tool over whatever you want to put the lubed bullets on and press the plunger on top of the tool. This pushes the bullet out and sets it on its base and you never have to handle the bullet when the wax is still soft in the grooves. You can then let the bullets fully cool and let the wax set up before you handle them. It saves you from having to use two hands and having to handle the bullet when the wax is still soft.

Currently the WaxMeister and extra cutters are available in the
following sizes:
.312
.360
.433
.454
.461

Each cutter is designed to work best with a bullet that is at least .002"-.004" under the cutter size.

The WaxMeister with cutter of your choice is $24.95 and each additional cutter is $4.00 and can be ordered here. (http://www.ideadevgroup.com/IDG001.html)

We will be expanding our caliber line up in the very near future. If
you would like to request another caliber please e mail Levi Knowlton,
levi.knowlton@ideadevgroup.com. We can also accommodate uncommon
custom calibers.

My partners would probably hang me for this but here is a little advice. We have found that using a fire formed case as a cutter for that specific bullet produces the BEST results. Obviously we cant fire form every case to your gun so we have come up with a process that produces a cutter that works very well if used on the appropriate bullet. Currently the WaxMeister only accepts a 45-70 case for a cutter or one that has identical base dimensions. We will be expanding this lineup in the near future. If you would like to use your own fire formed case on the WaxMeister for best results we could sell only the WaxMeister without the cutter for $20.00. If you have a fire formed case, other than 45-70, we could fit it to work on the WaxMeister for a very small fee. Probably around $5.00 depending on exactly what has to be done. If you would like to use one of these options please shoot me an e mail and I would be happy to accommodate you.

Below is a review from one of our Beta testers;

Levi -

I received your new pan lubing aid tool:

http://i647.photobucket.com/albums/uu193/pavelow16478/WaxMeister/PanTool1.jpg

I got a chance to use the tool today.

I lined up a bunch of SAECO .45 cal. rifle bullets (487 grain 1:20).
And got my pan of SPG lube - last used by my buddy for his 50-90 bullets.

http://i647.photobucket.com/albums/uu193/pavelow16478/WaxMeister/PanTool2.jpg

I went ahead and melted down the SPG.

http://i647.photobucket.com/albums/uu193/pavelow16478/WaxMeister/PanTool3.jpg

Then placed in the bullets and waited for the "cake" to harden...

http://i647.photobucket.com/albums/uu193/pavelow16478/WaxMeister/PanTool4.jpg

Now - the "do-or-die" time!

http://i647.photobucket.com/albums/uu193/pavelow16478/WaxMeister/PanTool7.jpg

http://i647.photobucket.com/albums/uu193/pavelow16478/WaxMeister/PanTool10.jpg

http://i647.photobucket.com/albums/uu193/pavelow16478/WaxMeister/PanTool8.jpg

I think you have an excellent product.
I've been pan lubing for years and removing the bullets from the cake is always hit or miss on keeping the lube in the grooves and even removing the bullets with slippery fingers.
It only took me three or four bullet pulls to get a technique down.
Your tool makes it very simple to "Poke and Punch" bullets from the lube cake while maintaining the integrity of the lube in the grooves.
I know that some remove the lube cake and punch them out manually and those people probably wouldn't use this tool, but I don't use that method and this tool works as designed.

Design notes:
When I first received the tool I tested it dry on a few cast bullets and found that it was shaving some lead from the bullet driving bands.
I took my case prep reamer and chamfered the inside of the "case" then smoothed and polished it and then the driving band shaving disappeared.

***We have redone the chamfer on all the cutters we have and they will all ship with a larger chamfer to ensure the bullet is not shaved when the proper sized cutter is used.

While I was doing all this today my buddy showed up at our workshop and he used it on my .45 bullets and was immediately impressed and wants to know if you can build him a conversion case plug for his 50-90 Sharps using a .511 bullet. Here is his hand written note that he asked me to append to this reply (he wants it NOW)!

http://i647.photobucket.com/albums/uu193/pavelow16478/WaxMeister/PanTool11.jpg

I give your product 4.5 out of 5 thumbs up.
I will use this product from now on to pull bullets from from the lube cake!

Levi, please contact me if you need or want more info.

A review of the tool from Michael of Ranch Dog Outdoors;

Levi! One word. WOW!

http://i647.photobucket.com/albums/uu193/pavelow16478/WaxMeister/RD1.jpg

The bullets with the lube show how they dry on the cookie sheet. The other two represent how they push back out of the tool. I used your .360" tube on a .359" bullet. Reference our earlier email, I probably need to use .002" over my various bullet diameters. This is simply based on the pressure required to punch the tube over the bullet and the push it back out. With the Alox dry, I do not think there is any special consideration needed.

Reference my liquid Alox dip technique and cookie sheet drying, this tool is the cat's purr!
• No need to run the bullets through a second pass of the sizer.
• The tool keeps the excess lube on the cookie sheet. Using the sizing die/press put it on my floor.
• Bullets are dropped directly in a container.
• Conservatively, decreases the final step of my technique by a third of the amount of time.
DEFINITELY A THUMBS UP!

I ordered one last week and received it this weekend. Great tool worked wonderfully, was my first time pan lubing and I couldn't imagine how to do it w/o this tool. I had to use my chamfer tool on the opening to open it up enough for my .452 bullets to go in but that is just fine. It has a nice snug fit over the boolit, works great Thanks!

ETA: I just wore my casting glove to keep my thumb from getting sore.

I took the plunge and bought one after googling the Waxmeister, the company was something like Idea Group out of Florida. I ordered it with two additional sizes and waited to see what would happen (if anything). I was delighted that about a week after ordering I got notice that it was enroute. I got all that I ordered and it was around $42 for the cutter with three different cutters (modified cases). All the cutters were chamfered and the pusher came with a cap and grommet to make it easier on the thumbs :). All in all, very pleased!

Well now I'm confused and suspicious.
When did this order happen? You joined site about 2 months ago and today report this. There have been several members that have tried to order (and some paid and eventually got repaid back) for more months then you've been a member. I personally called (mailbox full) e mailed (no response0 and the company man, pavelow hasn't been logged on the site since September.
What gives?
I'm actually thinking of getting several of these made with several improvements.
I think the company is belly up. Here is a link to they other thread.

I placed my order in late January from this site: http://www.ideadevgroup.com/waxmeister.html
I don't know if it is pavelow or not, as there wasn't much communication. The site sent me to google wallet for ordering. I received an email that my order was received. A week and a half later, I received an email saying it was being shipped and two days later I received it. I don't know what web site others ordered from, I can only speak to the site I ordered and received from. The tool is marked WaxMeister IDG on the top and looks just like what is at the top of this thread. I have no affiliation with them, so again, I can't speak as to others experiences, only my own. Take it for what you will, I am only trying to share information with others in a common string.

I'm glad to hear that you had a good experience that recent. That is the same site that several of us had tried.
I won't try to order until someone associated with the company posts. If they take your money, no one answers the phone or e mails to get it corrected.

I understand completely. I wasn't sure if I should or not, but I saw that they are supposed to be over by Tampa, which is about an hour from me, so I figured push come to shove I could always go and knock on their door, or worse case, get the state attorney's office involved.

They seemed to have left the .413" cutter out of the drop down box for the shopping cart...

...naturally, that is the one I needed to order.

The tools are nice, no complaints here. I will be making another order soon.
