I am looking into getting a new AR rifle, and would like to get some info on using the .22 Bator mold for an AR. is anyone out there using this? and if so, would you like to share some of your favorite loads? and what is the minimum to cycle the action?

I have not fired the Bator but have fired the Saeco 221 in the AR. 19 gr of H4895 would cycle the bolt 90% of the time. 19.5 100% function.

Not exactly what you are looking for but there you go.

Do be careful as Lee has had issues making the Bator to spec. It is supposed to have a .220 nose, mine is .226 and doesn't work well in my AR-15. In my mid-length gas AR-15 18gr of H4895 functions 100% with it however, with the exception of the ones that don't go all the way into battery due to the nose...

i use the rcbs 55 in mine, it wants to be seated to about the crimp groove.
13 grs 2400 will not operate the bolt enough to pick up another case.
but is accurate enough for soda cans at 50-75 yds
the 22.5 grs 4895 rounds i use in my bolt gun will operate the rifle 100% but the accuracy is terrible.
gotta be a balance in there somewhere, maybe faster than 4895 and slower than 2400.
