View Full Version : A rare find? I think so.

For lack of a better place to post this I thought I would share what I found today.
I sorted the 9mm brass, 50lbs, that was in the brass I scooped up and cleaned last week. I found a r-p case that did not have Luger stamped on the case. It has R-P and 9mm but no Luger. Also the 9mm is further around the bottom than it is on a normal case. Still on the side, not opposite the R-P.
I have looked at over ten thousand R-P 9mm cases over the years of sorting brass and this is the first and only one.
Anybody else seen anything like it with R-P or other brand brass?

Too bad it's been fired. A cartridge collector might have been interested in it. Now it's just brass.

That firing pin strike on the primer almost looks scary!

Here's one I found in a batch of brass I got. Guess Q.C. was on break.

Just goes to show ya the only reason for an extractor on a simi auto is to unload an unfired round.
