Prayer Request

I have had a sudden (0vernight) significant vision loss in my left eye three weeks ago tomorrow. It has been diagnosed as Central Retinal Vein Occlusion (blood clot near the optic nerve) and macular edema (bleeding of the capillaries in the retina). May be reversible but the ophthalmologist said the success rate with the amount of damage done is generally low. Treatment involves injections directly into the eye once a month. I had my first one yesterday. Shot itself is not too bad, but the next 12 hours are uncomfortable. My right eye, vision still good for now has also had some minor bleeding. If both eyes were like my left I would be legally blind, no more driving, reading, shooting, etc. Would greatly appreciate the prayers of the many on this great forum who believe in the power of prayer. Thanks in advance to all. I will post again when I know more.

Prayers out in your behalf. A neighbor has a two year old boy who is going blind from a degenerative eye disease and the docs can offer no help. I complain about the effects my growing cataracts have on my shooting, but I can't imagine life without sight,. I do know, however, that God is sufficient and gives grace for every need. Let us know.

You will get the prayers offered. Now eat your carrots. My retinal surgery went well but cataracts soon appeared and now I have one artificial lens in my left eye. It works, but every thing looks 10% bigger with the left eye. I tilt my head to the right when looking at women with nice figures, It makes them look even better on top.

It's been about 36 hours since my first injection directly into my left eye. There is absolutely no doubt I am seeing better. Whether it's the injection of medicine or the injection of many prayers or both I am delighted to give God the glory either way. It's all Him in the end anyway. Can't thank all of you enough but please keep it up!!!

Giving it my all asking G-D to guide the surgeons hand with HIS that you guys shall have your vision restored.

I thank HIM every day for every new medical proceedure and skilled personnel now available that were not so long ago a fantasy . Recently, had not such technology been available, my right eye would have greatly diminished vision, or none at all.
