Whats the most common bullet weight for this rifle. Will be used for punching holes and dinging the dongs ?

I'm using milsurp 168 grain and/or Seirra MatchKing boattails with IMR 4064 powder, getting 2" minus groups @ 300 yard.
I haven't tried any cast boolits with mine yet.

My rifle isn't broke in yet but Ive been buying some factory and some surplus ie : 147, 173 and HDY 180 spt. I haven't had much time shooting it. I might add, that I'm wanting to find a single load for the AR and an Fal but I don't think that will happen.

Yea, I want to get them broke in before I try boolits

tks

My AR10T shoots just about everything. I even tried some Hornady 110 varmint bullets once and got half inch groups from them. My normal load is Sierra 168gr matchkings and 43gr varget powder with Federal match primers. That load shoots lights out in both the AR10T and my Rem 700

My AR-10 prefers AA2520 with 150 or 165 J-words. Powder meters exceptionally well I also like it with 55gr. BT's in 243Winchester

For cast try a 311299 ove 28 - 32 gr 4895 with a 1/2 gr dacron filler.
