The pic is of my .30cal Corsair air rifle that I use for hog hunting. It shoots a 120 grain cast boolit (from Hunters Supply) at 950fps with an air pressure fill of 3600psi, so far I have taken 3 hogs with it, all one shot kills. The custom stock is from Richard's Microfit Gunstocks. I know it's not a powder burner but I also reload for my Ruger #3 45/70, Yugo Mauser 8X57 and Remington Rolling Block 30-30. Thanks for looking.

Do you cast your own bullets for it?

At this time I buy my cast bullets for this rifle from Hunters Supply

Look's real enough for me.
If anyone say's it's not, tell'em to stand in front of you and ask them if it hurt's.

cool can you give some additonal info on the maker and the model that you have? I have thought a 30 caliber would be great fun. I tlooks like it is a crosman/qb design, is that correct?

How are you filling the air reservoir? HPA tank or pump?

What diameter of bullets are you shooting out of it?

That is the coolest air gun! How loud is it?

The rifle is sold by Randy Mitchell of www.adventuresinairguns.com, they are semi custom made as they are built from a QB78D rifle that has a HPA tube and large caliber barrel. They are offered in .308 and .357calibers. I fill mine from a 4500psi scba (firefighter air tank) and it is about as loud as a .38 special or .22mag with 3 good shots befor needing a refil back up to 3600psi. I shoot a .308 dia bullet up to 220 grains. Hope this helps

Cool, i'm into big bore airguns as well. I've built one in a .50 and am working on another in .458, I've converted a qb 78 to 9mm as well, using HPA but at co2 pressures, as i didn't build a new maintube. What sort of velocity are you getting with the 220 grain bullets?

How did you get a qb rifle in the first place?:???: I have been trying to get one for a couple of years. That is one fine looking stock!!

qb78/79 can be had form archers or E Arthur Brown in the standard 177 and 22. I just got an email flyer from EAB that had the qb in it. The customs are abit tougher to come by.

I like the .357 idea.

I really wish someone would do a modern metallurgy variant of the Giriondi though...

Archers air guns is the main inporter of the QB rifles and you can get a base rifle for under $100.00, then modify it to your hearts content.
Jack Haley in La makes bigbore air rifles from .25cal to .58cal, just google his name, I think his web site is under southernairguns.
Even Crosman Corp is coming out with a bigbore this summer and It is .357cal

is the crossman on the lines of the benjamin marauder or discovery line?

I have looked at southern airguns quite a bit. As stated, I think a 30 caliber would be great fun. You will have to keep us in the loop on your experiences with it.

T.J.'s, the outfit that makes barrels liners is also making barrels for airguns.
