Has anyone had any experiance with the BRP 362-225 GC Boolit in a 358 Winchester?

Who's the manufacture of your .358? Funny, I was wondering how this boolit would fit my M77 just yesterday.

gonna give this a bump.
as i am kinda looking for a lighter 358 boolit than the 250 saeco i'm using that could double in my 357 max.
yeah i'm using the saeco in the revolver right now.

run5...

I was just heading to the garage to cast some RCBS 35-200's for my M77. You've tried this boolit in the M77, haven't you?

The SAECO 352 is a dandy design for the .358 and especially the .350RM but weighs about 30-35 grains more than I want for most of my shooting.

nope.
in my 358 the saeco fit so well i haven't messed with anything else i went straight to jacketed loads and never looked back.
but the recoil as you say is stout.
i have some boolits greg from malad sent over, he cast from a veral [airc] mold but I just havent tried them yet.
i've thought about the rcbs, but it's quite a bit different in profile than the saeco.

I have the RCBS mould and I have tried it in my 358 Pistol. Have not tried anything in the rifle as I just picked it up. Just looking for other options. I will most likely use the RCBS boolit.

Last night's casting session was dismal. The boolits were hard to extract from the 35-200 cavities and when I got them to the loading bench they 'miked' .3575"-.3580". Not the quality I expect from RCBS. Who do I need to contact at RCBS?

Just call RCBS. I am sure they will direct you to the right place.

And by the way there is a group buy going on right now for that mold. :)

I just submitted a form to RCBS. I'll call them in a few days if I don't get a response soon. I'll look for the group buy.

Thanks,

Finally got to shoot the 358 Winchester and the 350 Remington Mag a week ago. Both shoot very well with the RCBS boolit cast with wheel weights. 1.25" groups every time. No reason to look for any other boolit mould! Even had my buddy shoot a couple of groups with my rifle, he decided that he will use it in his 350 Rem Mag as well.

I have a Savage 99 in 358 Win, anybody here shoot cast in one of these? I have shot many moose with mine but was thinking I would shoot it more with some reduced load cast bollits?
