No experience with the SR9, but you HAVE to slug it. 9mms are all over the map on
groove diam. Once you know the groove diam, size a Lee 120 TC std lube groove
boolit to groove +.002 and you'll be good to go, IME.

I've shot a few cast boolits in my SR-9C so far with good results. I'm still getting used to the gun so I won't make any great accuracy claims. I've used both the Lee 358-105- TC, and the Lee 358-125-RFP so far. I sized to .358, and they chambered easily. so I fired them. I didn't have any leading, and I did shoot a couple of good groups that might have been just luck since I don't usually shoot that well with semi autos.

size bullets to 0.357 or 0.358 dia . i also recomend a TC nose profile for cast bullets

You are guessing. I swear that no one can out guess the 9mm without slugging the barrel.

for sure slug your barrel it will save you a bunch of headaches. That being said my dads gun prefers the .358

I am thinking of getting an SR9..can anyone with one tell me how well it handles cast bullets?

Wally, I bought my wife an SR9 but it's a compact model so take that into account. We both love the gun and it shoots great with factory ammo.
However, do as said above and slug the barrel if you want to use cast. I load a LEE 356-120 TC boolit sized to .356 and it shoots good thru my P85, Kel-Tec P-11 and my Taurus 92 but the SR9 hates that load, 7-8 inch groups at 25 feet.

Edit to add, I just got to thinking that the SR9 may not like my cast load because I have the boolit seated a little deeper, to 1.060" to work the best in my Kel-Tec. Maybe with a longer C.O.L. my loads would work better in the SR9.

no sr9 but the wifes lc9 works just fine with them. Feeds about anything. Actually does even better with lighter loads then my glock 43 or shield.

Thank you. I have a another 9mm pistol that leads up pretty badly. I size bullets to .358" and it slugs out at .356".
