Any of you Highpower shooters have any experience with Neal Johnson Gunsmithing's spotting scope stand ?

I was thinking of picking one up.

Avoid "No Deal Neal", I won't go into it but he is less than motivated to do a good job these days (years now) unless your on the Olympic Team. A lot of the time he doesn't actually have whats in his catalog. What I would recommend depends on what your going to be doing, if your shooting from a bench or in the prone position all the time I like the Freeland bipod scope stand available from Champion Shooters. If your going to be shooting position all the time you want a tripod for stability in offhand, I've heard complains about the Freeland breaking under heavy use so depending on how important it is to you check out Creedmore's "Big Blue" or I guess I'd probably call Ray Vin and describe your needs so thay can make a recommendation. What type of shooting are you going to be doing and how much?

I have several "solutions". The Champion Shooters Supply Freeland Tripod is a dandy for the prone and kneeling position (has a wider foot print than the bi-pod and works better with heavy scopes). However, for offhand the answer is to use a good, sturdy camera tripod. The bi-pod and tri-pod for shooters just does not work well in the offhand position (entirely too much movement).
