On another thread I got drug back to the days when I had just one rifle hanging over the back door of the farm house and I started reflecting on how blessed I have been. My grandfather lived his whole life with a shotgun and a rifle, hauled water from a well and cooked over a wood stove. We never thought we were poor, but we didn't have any non essentials.
I live in a big house I have water at the turn of a handle, I have a computer, a telephone on my belt and a TV in the bedroom. My gun rack covers one whole wall of my shop. I can punch a button on this infernal machine and get information from around the globe. I don't know if I have done anything to deserve all these blessings or if they are just Gods way of testing me, but sometimes when I turn the tap, and all the hot water I could ever want comes out that spout, I just feel amazed.
