Haven't shot anything in a few months and it's been driving me crazy. First 5 rounds were the best. 230 gr Lee TC 1.18 OAL 5.0 gr 231 pan lubed.

I'm definitely liking this casting stuff.

This is the best group I've EVER shot. Of course I had to ruin a perfect group by throwing one but I'm still happy with it.

Great group. That is the identical boolit and load of 231 I use in my practice IDPA loads. Only difference is that I size-lube at .452 and my COL is 1.250

Forgot to add that they were sized at .452

Only thing I messed up on today is I walked out without the box of 200 gr LSWC that I had loaded up to test. I was getting pretty cold by the time I was done so I might not have gotten to them anyway.

I also shot some 230 gr Lee TL452-230-2R but they didn't shoot as well as the TC. I've been holding off casting anything more until I know what my gun(s) like. I was real happy with the fact that I had no leading at all in my first session shooting cast. I owe my first time success to all those here that are so generous with sharing their information.

Very good Jailer! Doesn't it feel great to have things come together. What a fun hobby.

My experience is that either flavor of the 452-230-2R will feed and function in anything, just like the LY 452374 - feed and function in anything. It is also my experience that neither of the Lee 230 RN are the most accurate in anything.

Jailer, thanks for the range report and target pic.

I'm with Charlie. Funnest hobby going.

I actually had no less than 5 or 6 fail to feed with that round. I think I may have seated them a little too deep causing the problem. Just checked my notes and I had them loaded to 1.260
