I just learned of a new place to obtain lead for reloading it's called NUCLEAD the web address is http://www.nuclead.com I haven't done any business with them yet but learned of them through a friend of mine that uses them to supply lead for large contract plumbing jobs that are using cast iron fittings. According to him they have been around for a very long time and do contract provisions for the DOD.:Fire::Fire::drinks:

Their prices are also pretty high.
I called on some scrap and he wanted more than processed pure lead from other people.
Good Luck with your quest.

Swapping and selling section on this forum is the best place to buy lead worth the money.

I asked for a quote on some lead wire. Unbelievably expensive. I think they are used to supplying hospitals and industry.

if they supply lead to ANY U.S. GOVT. entity, you know their prices will be way out of line. who, but the U.S. GOVT. would pay $800.00 for a toilet seat, or $200.00 for a hammer! the DOD is probably paying $150.00 a pound for lead, because they want it to some "magical alloy".
