I am diving into casting. Just order a Saeco, RCBS .401 mould, Lyman pot and a few other things. I keep checking the FedEx site hourly thinking that will make everything get here faster.

I know the feeling. I'm putting stuff together too. I've got three Miha molds and one NOE mold on order right now. Picked up a second hand RCBS furnace and looking for a good deal on a Star or RCBS lubra sizer. Also ordered a Lyman mold yesterday. . . and the beat goes on. . .

Seems to be a lot of us invading here. Shooting and reloading takes any spare money. I'll have to do one peice at a time.

But you are SAVING so much money casting and reloading your own boolits.

Thats what we tell our women folk. ;)

Well the package finally arrived today. I could not wait to get home! Thanks for everyone's post and humor.

Wills, I will be starting out casting with a RCBS .401 for a 40 cal. That just happened to be the lead I ran out of first. I am going to be shopping now for a 9mm cast. For the near future, those are the only two I will be casting. A 45 cal may be in the far distance though.

Next I need to pick up some lead. From research on this topic at this forum, it is a pretty wide range topic. Until next time....

The one single best way to save money in the shooting sports is....

My wife is capable of spending faster than my saving. Guess I better get more equipment to save more.
That my story, and I'm sticking to it.

After three presses, 30 molds, who knows how many sets of dies, and all the stuff that goes with it all, it never seems to go away. Just gets better and better. Welcome to the board. You will have the time of your life.

I know the feeling. I get pretty impatient when I have a new toy on order. I have a new mold coming on Wednesday, according to UPS. I've still checked the "Tracking" several times since I ordered the stuff...

Yer addicted and don't even know it!!! "I'm startin out with a 40 cal...then a 9mm cast...then a 45 cal in the far distance..." Next, you get a Star sizer cause that RCBS LAM will be too slow. Then you buy a some other kind of bullet molds cause your buddy (or some folks on this forum), will highly recommend it. Then the Lube...then the reloading presses...then the guns... ADDICTION!:bigsmyl2:

The only thing that saves you faster into the poor house, is called a boat. By definition it is a hole in the water that you try to fill with money.
I gave up on the boat when I had no more savings left from casting and loading.
Lordy,,, how I do love this hobby.

Ah, well, I have a different attitude. I'm waiting for two Custom Molds and have forgotten exactly when they are due - yeah, all right, I'm awaiting an e-mail from Miha to pay for one and do check on the other maybe once a month. But I learned not to get excited back when Lee was the only option.
