ok guys in the continuing search for lead fun i picked up the 22 bator to try out in my 223...
now about the 223
1/14 twist hart, 26", 1" at the muzzle

min spec reamer for the chamber with a short throat.

since the end of breakin...this bbl has only seen moly bullets....

while i have no problem shooting lead in my toy...i really dont want to clean out the moly platting in the bbl

so what happens when i shoot cast in my moly coated bbl ???

thanks
mike

Mike, probably no real negative effects, aside from the cast maybe not shooting reeal well. I cleaned the moly from a barrel, after satisfying myself as to it's properties, with Goop hand cleaner. It didn't take many patches to get it clean.
And I never put moly back into a barrel again.

Oh, the cast will take that out for you.

But .... you can use Lyman Super Moly Lube and put it right back in as the cast will clean it out. But it wouldn't be my first choice. I love the stuff for cold weather, hunting applications, but now you got HV options too.
