Has anyone had good accuracy with this mold from? I would be using it for 44 special.
I have two, one casts Ok and the other not. Any advice at all? Is it a bad design?
Thank you in advance.

I have had a DC for close to 20 years. I wasn't too pleased with it in 44 Magnum so it laid idle for a few years. I acquired a 44 Special about 5 years ago and found that it is a very good bullet for the Special. I lapped the mold and size to .430, lube type doesn't seem to matter at Special velocities, most anything will work well for me.

Yes, it's a very good design, as long as you hold velocity to around 1200 fps.

As Guesser says, it really works well in .44 special at around 900 fps.

Very accurate in my SBH over 7 grs of Green Dot or better yet 7.0/231. Runs in the 950 FPS range and I shoot it both in special brass or .44 mag brass. It's a nice light recoiling bullet for general plinking and target shooting.
