got my first deer today

I usually use black powder to deer hunt but were we are hunting now its really thick
so I was carring the 37 with OO and lyman 525gr cast slugs[both exelent meat getters]
the spike horn came in behind me,it was too tight to get the 37 turned arround so out came the 629 loaded with 240 gr cast linotype over 296 ball powder.
the given name for thies loads is [HEAD BANGER'S] due to the accidend one time target shooting[friend caut the front site in the forhead,split the skin open]
so any way out came the 629,got it between the bunch of trees I was leaning against. took a bead on the neck[at about 20yards] and BANG
the deer dropped like a load of bricks[I was impressed]
I bought this gun some 20 years ago[I think] to get into hand gun hunting
in this area you can only use strait wall cases[so the contender in 357 herret was sold[[smilie=b: :groner: ]
got side tracted into black powder due to the area we were hunting[100+yard's shots]
well I guess Ill be building a nother hand gun for hunting in the future:Fire:
