i have a pair of 20" 45/70 insert barrels coming from a guy. these are made by tanfoglio for the baikal/spartan 12ga sxs. anyone here have any experience with these or other full length 45/70 inserts?

also, if anyone has a baikal/spartan 12ga sxs w/ 20" 2 3/4" barrels and screw in chokes that they would like to sell, i'm looking for one to complete this project.

I would love to have one of them.

Great concept. In double-barrels just about ideal.
That basic design could be developed for use in other shotguns, almost generically.
Imagine - drop-in .357's, 30-30 or 35 Rem, you name it.
The manufacturing is not that difficult.

Except for the extractor, that basic design could be developed to drop-in other shotguns. Any way around the extractor problem?

I have one of these inserts in 12ga to 38/55 but it is not marked as to maker. The shotgun extractor operates the insert cartridge extractor. The insert has to be fiddled with to get the two extractors working smoothly together. Muzzle of insert is threaded for a cone shaped retaining nut. The nut is knurled for hand tightening.
