I was wondering since Pioneer powder produces water vapor would putting 3-4 grains in a black powder load eliminate the need for blow tubing?

Don't you think that the fire and heat of a round would make this small amount turn into vapor and exit the barrel?

I guess I'll have to try and find out.

Isn't water a bi-product of all combustion?

It is in the efficient combustion of gas. I dont think BP will produce water.( but B.P. may put gas in water : )

I never had a wet barrel when shooting pioneer powder but maybe I had not eaten enough turnip greens before shooting it, so what do I know? Putting pioneer powder in the black powder is like one of my buddies who puts meat tenderizer in a big ole hollow point he shoots in a 58 caliber muzzle loader. He says that way the deer is already tenderized when he picks him up. But he is prone to telling Esops' Fables sometimes, so I hafta take what he says with a grain of salt, a little drinkie or three of Evan Willaims, and jiss go about my business.
