I lost my hunting buddy on friday

My father in law passed away friday night. Lt. Colonel Herbert E. Straughn, USAF(Ret) died at age 82. He got me back to deer hunting about 20 years ago. He passed away after a couple of years of declining health. His health problems never kept him from the deer woods, he hunted til this year. He was at the camp, just didn't hunt. Funeral is tuesday, and I already miss him.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to you. I can feel your pain. We lost my uncle a few years back. Every year in hunting camp his presence is missed. We don't mourn him, we celebrate the amazing life he lived and the unbelieveable wisdom he gathered. I hope this helps a little.
