Whats the bearing length of the RCBS-30-180-FN with gas check installed? What diameter do most run at the bearing and also on the bore ride section?

Thanks

.647 is what I come up with.
Sized to .310 , bore ride is .3085 give or take.

.647"------.310"------.300" , Ly#2 alloy

I just touch the sides of the shank with a nominal (312) sizing die & lube 'em. By "bore ride section" I assume you mean the nose?

THANKS

I have a Savage 99 with almost .35 of .312 throat. It's long enough bearing to touch the lands. I was thinking of a custom but this might work. It would even fit the neck good. It would be great if I lucked out and it was a little on the fat side.

.647would be to the top f front band.
From crimp grove down it's .565" typ. inside the case.
With Lyman #2 alloy. Mine cast a tad under .310" or on a good day I'll get a full .310" from it. Noses run .3005" to .3010". It always holds lube inside a .310" size die.
If I'm using 50/50 or other soft alloy I ladle poor them to get good fill out and they still will size with a .310" die.
With soft alloy they will weigh right at 199 grains.

Pretty sure this is one of the moulds where I retuned the first one to RCBS and this is the replacement mould they sent with two test cast boolits . RCBS Specs moulds with Linotype metal.

Me too. Mine is .308.5. I have to size to .309. But is the best for my Savage 170. It is more accuate than any jacketed bullet Iv'e tried. It also drops out at 190gr.
