A guy in anchorage has a rossi 44mag lever, 20 barrel, williams peep and a soft case for 325 bucks posted. He hasn't gotten the first reply on it. Is this not a decant buy. This is not a popular caliber up here, but I was thinking with the peep site this would be a good deal. Oh it's wood and blue.

Good morning
Maybe if it was a 45 Colt or 454 it would be a hotter seller.... according to the x-spurts the 44 mag will no longer thump as before. Poor me with my 41īs !
But also Christmas just passed... people are tightening belts as jobs go under.... Winter has set in... and for me it it not a 41.

I have two Rossis, a .357 and a .44 and a Browning 92 in .44. Other than pretty the Browning don't shoot or work any better than a Rossi. The sight is a bonus.
That would be a great buy down here in Washington.
Name me some kind of critter that a Ranch Dog .432" 270 grain boolit wont go all the way through if you start it out at 1600 - 1800 FPS. Even the carbines hold ten rounds.

That is a good price these days if it is in good condition. A 44 mag will do the job quite well on deer out to 100 yards or so and will take elk or caribou with heavy bullets at closer ranges quite well. It also makes a great plinker and small game gun. I would thing its a bit light for Brown Bear though. I have a couple of Rossi's in 357 and 45 colt but I would not be adverse to one in 44 mag at the price you quoteed.

I have three Rossi 92s, one of them is a 44, they all shoot very well. Go buy that one if you can.

I have 2 Rossi .357's and they are excellent guns, as a previous poster said the price is good for the basic gun and the peep is icing on the cake.

My toy money is pretty much gone until spring, that said if it was closer it would probably be all gone. lol Like I said these little guns are not real popular up here, but I couldn't belive he hasn't even had one hit on it.

I have a Rossi 92 in .357 and as others have said, it's a fantastic gun. At that price, you better jump on it.

It is too far from me. He still hasn't even had a reply on the site it is listed on it. He has his phone # listed though. In this neck of the woods it would just be something to play with, but would be fun to have.

Once slicked up pretty much according to the Nate Kiowa Jones DVD, my 357 Rossi 92 has become a favorite. I've got the 44 mag rifle as well. but I think that I'd use the latter more had I bought the carbine in the first place. I'd recommend snapping that one up if it's still available. If you are really lucky, maybe the action has already been smoothed up a bit, and somebody has already replaced that plastic magazine follower with a steel one.

If he lived in Heider I would be all over it at that price. I just bought a .357 Rossie and love the little gun. Off to the range this PM.

The drive in to Stewart/Heider is just beautiful. If you get that far why not drop over to Terrace for coffee next time you are through. Coffee is always on.

Saz if you are interested, it is listed on alaska outdoors, I am not really interested in it, it would be a fun plinker, but I can do just as much with my 30/30.

I would imagine that would be a great drive thruogh there all the way to prince rupert. Just curious if you were to buy a firearm at hyder, is it a lot of trouble to bring it back home for you.

Depends who you tell.

I would just have the gun verified when I got home and registered. Not such a problem with rifles. I wouldnt try it with handguns.

I am not sure if there are any border folks on the US side or not. Last tme I was there there were no US Customs. None needed...nowhere to go once you are in Heider but back to Canada.
