I'll bet that the ignot is made of vintage wheelweights or lead. :)

I have about 300 lbs of those. Any takers at that price per each? One person could buy it all at that price per pound and I might throw the ingot mould in also. Rather interesting what people will do given a chance.

I think it was posted on this forum where a set of used Lee dies went for $60 on ebay! They are about $20 at Midway. I have sold stuff there and made out good. It seems if you are selling, start the bidding at $1 and no reserve. Everyone has a chance, and they get into bidding wars.

Wait a minute.... doesn't Carpetman own one of those ingot molds, that have the backwards "N"?

Ray, you may now be a millionaire! Ed Mcmann is coming to your door, with a huge check!

Human nature was what kept me fascinated for a 28 year cop career. Just another example, in action before our eyes.

The "backwards 'N'" is actually a Cyrillic "I"--these were intended for export to the former Soviet Union. RCBS has a similar export variant, with the "R" reversed. That character in Cyrillic is the vowel blend "ya".

Yippie Yi O Kay Ay! I too have one of the rare LYMAZ (the Z represents the backwards N) ingot moulds. I have just finished smelting and ingotizing 360 lb. of WW. Half of the ingots are exactly like the one shown on ebay, the other half are from my RCBS ingot mould, unfortunately one with all the letters correct. I am now accepting bids for the rare LYMAZ ingots. Quantity discounts available.

My wife thinks that the R(reversed)CBS ingot mould means "boolits are us."

Better idea, keep quiet and start selling ingots. Trickle them out one every two weeks or so. Include a handling charge, but take good care of the goose that lays the golden eggs.

Looks like someone is selling one of the ingot molds.

I don't get it! The "N" looks just fine in the ingrate mould; it's the "L" that's backwards! I'm going
$100 on it!

The "M" is backwards it takes yrs of study but the trained eye can see it! If you need to see the slight differances for a "Small fee" you to can be in the Know!

Using the eBay system, I sent the following message to the winning bidder...

ridgedog, I watched the sale where you bought that lead ingot for $67. Here's some information for you...The backward 'N' cast into the ingot mould is actually the Cryllic 'I'. The ingot mould was made for export to Russian-speaking countries. There is an identical mould for sale on eBay right now...which you could use to produce thousands of ingots, just like the one you bought. Just so you don't get fooled in the future, RCBS makes an ingot mould which has a backward 'R'. That one is also made for Russians...and is not something special. You're welcome...montana_charlie
