Tomorrow morning my wonderful wife will undergo surgery to remove a malignant tumor. We will not know the extent of the malignancy until the lymph nodes are biopsied. Please give her (us) your prayers and/or positive thoughts tomorrow morning. Thank you!

Our most heartfelt thanks for the support shown to us in our time of need! The tumor has been removed, Gail is home and the preliminary tests are really positive for having gotten all of the malignancy! Of course we will not know for sure for at least two weeks and she still has to have the radiation treatments, but we are optimistic with respect to a full recovery. Thank you all so much! Have a great day!

She is likely to have a rough time with the radiation. She will need a lot of support and encouragement. Lots of patience, requiring her to rest, especially if she is a determined doer, and encouragement to eat will all be needed.

Short update---Gail and I wish to extend our most heartfelt thanks to all of you who kept us in your thoughts and prayers in our time of need! The pathology test results are in and we have been told that if she had to get a cancer, this one was the best kind to have. The tumor was a slow growing variety and there was no sign the malignacy had spread beyond the borders of the excision. Gail will still have to have radiation treatments after her initial recovery from the surgery, followed by five years of drug therapy and we will deal with that as needed. Have a great day (we are)!

I just saw this posting so I missed the first part. However I am in for this phase of your wife's total recovery. We have some pretty heavy artillery here on this board so you and your wife were in good hands. I know about radiation since my son is undergoing 33 treatments for his cancer. He has 8 to go. He is doing good with it and I am sure God will provide for Gail just as He has already.

You're all in our prayers, too. We don't know exactly what you're going through, but something similar. My husband has had 3 rounds with cancer and large tumors and surgery and radiation and hospitals and road trips for treatments and all the rest. He's doing well now, thank you God. We just keep putting one foot in front of the other, and life is good!

Blessings on your all!
