Ohio Muzzle loading deer season

Meat in the freezer! Myself and 5 of my hunting partners filled our freezers this past weekend during the Ohio muzzle loading deer season. The season lasts 4 days, Jan 8-11. Everybody got a deer, 3 shot on Saturday, and 3 on Sunday. All were anterler less, meat for the freezers. first pic is Sundays, 2nd pic is Sat.

You guys did great.
I went 0 for 4 different stands Sat-Mon. Didn't even see a deer and two of those stands are on property we manage for hunting, food plots+supplemental corn feeders. Very frustrating season here. Fewer deer seen by everyone I have talked to, and some landowners reported a lot of deer dead last spring after that awful winter. Plus our coyote population is at a high point too.

I went out sat an sun an didnt see a deer and havent seen much during bow either sice gun season. Worst year ever for me.

Dontcha just love how the muzzleloaders don't ruing so much meat like a 30-06? The 2 deer and one elk I killed with my 58cal rifled muskets hardly ruined any meat at all even when the deer was "skewered" from one end to the other by the minie ball.
