so, i went shooting yesterday, had the need to throw some lead down range. everything was going ok, except it was to stinking cold. but i am sort of used to it, being a life long resident in a state that the weather can not make up it mind of what it is going to do. anyway, i was alternating between 3 pistols, 44 mag, 38 spl, and a 22 semi auto. wearing my hearing protection, and eye protection like i was supposed to, with one slight modification. i had to keep the glasses out away from my face about 1/8th inch to keep the from fogging. so, on my third time cycleing through the rotation, one of the HOT spent 22 cases came backwards, bounced off my hat, and downward right into the little slit between my glasses and my face. it landed against my lower eye lid, and stayed there until i realized what was going on and i ripped them off my face. so much for being safe. winter, bah-humbug!

So if someone asks you what that scar is from, just respond "a .22"

Yea, that is bad, probably worse than a 45acp down the shirt, but not nearly as bad as my wife dropping one between "the girls".

She wasn't happy that day...

is part of my safety gear. Down the back of your neck is not good either.

Yea, I got a hot .223 case down the back, left a perfectly .223 case shaped burn scar on my back.
