Anyone tried the Lyman 457193 405gr. sized to suit a .451 ML (1 in 20")?? It is rated at .458" thinkin it may be too big, and require too many sizings to get a nice fit?? I am pretty sure its a cartridge mould.
Any advice Thanks!!:?:?:?

Well right or wrong, I have sized some Lyman 457121, down to .452 in one pass and out of a White that I sold a while back they shot well. I never put that gun thru the paces to see what it would do.
Another used White .451 that I had, would shoot into 2 - 3 inches at a 100 yards, I hunted with it 1 year...that gun, when I bought it, had a really cruddy spot down near the breech, fouling was bad to get rid of because of the pitted area that action and stock was used to this end

I haven't used the Lyman but have sized the Lee 405 HB down the .451 and used in a GM 1/18 twist and it shoots very well as a grease groove boolit. I run through a Lyman 450 lubricator with .460 die to size and lube then through a .454 push through and then through a .451. Seems to work pretty good for me most of these were cast either from pure lead up to 20/1. For paper patch I size on down to .446 then patch back up to .451 shoots even better.

BB03I use it all the time in my T/C 50 cal Hawken. At first I sized them down a bit, but then I found an outfit in North Arkansas that makes a sabot for a .458 dia boolit. Name of company is MM Sabots I think. I have also used them unsized and with the normal black sabots. The ones from MM are orange. Shoots fine over 80 to 100 grs of black FFG. Does kick some in a lite weight in-line though.
