Best Place to purchase 1860 or 1861

Cabelas has the best price ($200) on the 1860 Army 44 cal and it is in stock. I just bought one and reviewed it (range report) on this forum a few days ago.

Dixie Gun Works has the best price ($185) on the 1851 Navy 36 cal, but they are back ordered.

Both of the above are steel frame guns and high quality.

Meaning BP revolvers? Cabelas is good. If you're patient they will offer whichever one you're interested in on sale. Make a few small orders in the meanwhile, for things you needed anyway, and you'll be on their mailing list for discount coupons too. That gets the price down to a respectable level. Got my 1860 and 1858 that way.

I have bought from Cabela's for over 25 years and have never received a single discount coupon. I must be a brand x guy. But I did get a good buy on a 1860 Colt clone from them many moons ago.
